Welcome to the very first issue of our brand-new quarterly fleet newsletter!
Whether you’re behind the wheel every day or just occasionally borrow a company truck, this newsletter is for you. Each quarter we’ll be bringing you the latest updates on our fleet. Think of it as your one-stop shop for everything fleet related, minus the boring memo format.
We’re excited to keep the lines of communication open and make sure everyone who drives on behalf of the company has the info they need to stay safe, efficient, and on the road.

As a quick reminder, our Safe Driver Initiative is all about recognizing and rewarding the people who represent our company best – out on the road, every single day. The program tracks key safety metrics like accident-free driving, hands free driving, adherence to speed guidelines, and overall vehicle care. It’s not about avoiding incidents – it’s about building a culture where safe, responsible driving is something we’re all proud of. Every time you buckle up, slow down, or take that extra second to check your mirror, it counts.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to safe driving — your dedication sets a high standard for the entire team and does not go unnoticed. Each winner will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card as a thank-you for keeping themselves, their passengers, and everyone else on the road safe.

23 out of our 37 drivers achieved a score of 85 or higher this period — and that’s something worth celebrating.
It’s a strong reflection of our team’s ongoing commitment to safe driving practices and a clear sign that the effort being put in day after day is making a real difference. If your score falls between 85-95, first of all — great work. You’re already well above the bar, and that foundation you’ve built is something to be proud of. We encourage you to keep building on those habits, stay consistent, and look for those small opportunities to tighten things up even further. Drivers who achieve a score of 96-100 qualify for the quarterly Safe Driver Bonus, and that threshold is well within reach for so many of you. With continued focus & dedication the safe driving bonus is well within reach!
From January 1st to March 31st there were 1,183 instances of speeding.
Speeding is an unsafe driving practice because it fundamentally alters the physics of driving, significantly reduces a driver’s ability to avoid accidents and increases the lethality of the accidents that do occur. Increased Stopping Distance: the faster a vehicle travels, the further it goes before coming to a complete stop. This distance increases exponentially with speed. Doubling your speed (e.g. from 30mph to 60mph) doesn’t just double your stopping distance, it makes it four times longer. At 70mph a car needs about 387ft (longer than a football field) to stop the vehicle completely. Reduced Reaction Time: higher speeds give the driver less time to identify and respond/react to hazards. Most drivers take about 1.5 seconds to react to a stimulus. Your vehicle will travel 95 feet before you even put your foot on the brake.
CELLPHONE USAGE + DISTRACTED DRIVING
From January 1st to March 31st there were 225 individual instances of cellphone usage while driving. As a reminder to all drivers, company policy is clear: the use of mobile devices while the vehicle is in motion is strictly prohibited – unless handsfree. This policy exists to protect you, your passengers, and everyone else on the road. Non-compliance puts lives at risk. Drive Safe. Drive Smart.
WHY TEXTING + DRIVING IS DANGEROUS
Texting while driving is considered the most dangerous form of distracted driving. Here’s why: Texting while driving involves all three main types of distractions
— VISUAL DISTRACTION / your eyes are focused on the phone instead of what’s going on in front of you
— MANUAL DISTRACTION / your hands are no longer on the wheel
— COGNITIVE DISTRACTION / your mind is no longer focused on the task of driving
Using your phone while driving isn’t just dangerous — in many states, it’s illegal. That’s why we’re asking every driver to make hands-free the standard, every time you get behind the wheel. Let’s look out for ourselves, each other, and everyone sharing the road with us.
In the works: we are currently working on creating a new process for monthly truck inspections.
We want to make sure every truck in our fleet stays in top mechanical condition and represents our company with a professional appearance on the road.
All drivers will be required to complete the monthly inspection of their assigned vehicle covering some mechanical conditions, safety equipment, cleanliness, and overall appearance. Details on the inspection checklist and submission process will be shared soon.
This isn’t just about compliance – it’s about taking pride in the equipment we operate and the image we project to our customers and the public. A wellmaintained, clean truck speaks volumes about who we are as a company.
Whether the damage is your fault, the result of another party’s actions, or the cause is unknown, all vehicle damage must reported promptly. We understand that accident’s happen – what matters most is that the incidents are communicated in a timely manner.
safety
Even minor damage can affect the vehicles’ performance or structural integrity. Unreported damage can worsen over time and create more serious safety hazards for the driver and others on the road.
COST CONTROL
Small issues caught early are far less expensive to repair than damage that goes unaddressed. Unreported damage that worsens can result in significantly higher repair costs.
RESALE + ASSET VALUE
Company vehicles are significant assets Keeping accurate damage and maintenance records helps preserve their value over time.
professionalism
Maintaining our company vehicles and repairing damage reflects directly on our organization’s professionalism and reputation. Our trucks are often the first impression customers, and the public have of our company – keeping them in excellent, clean condition sends a clear message that we take pride in our work and hold ourselves to a high standard.
When reporting damage, please submit the Truck ID, Driver Name, Date, a Description of the damage, and Photos to [email protected], and a fleet manager will follow up with further instructions or any additional information requests.
We are now a full quarter into our new Motive safety system.
As previously mentioned, we’ve excelled in some areas while identifying others that still need improvement. A key part of our safety focus is coachable events — incidents flagged by the system as opportunities for growth and correction. When a safety event is detected, it is marked as coachable, giving drivers the ability to review and selfcoach. Staying current with coachable events is not optional. Reviewing them is required to remain in good standing and retain the privilege of driving a company vehicle.
